The Board Of Directors of the Zambia National Farmers Union has rejected the Preliminary Audit Report that alleged that Donor Funds provided to the Farmers Body was mismanaged.

The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency commissioned the investigation to ascertain the usage of Donor Funds.

The report that was carried out by Elasto Mambo of EMM Corporate Partners concluded that 34 million kwacha was Mismanaged at the Farmers’ Body.

But at a special meeting of Board Of Directors at the Union Headquarters in Lusaka the Audit Report was labeled as lacking creditability and contained serious inconsistencies.

According to Union Vice President Richard Lisimba, the Auditor had inadequate understanding of the Farmer’s Body operations and its partnership arrangements.

There were no questions entertained from members of the Media after issuing the Statement.
