A Disability Activist Brian Musonda has challenged United Party for National Development Members of Parliament to resign if they do not recognize Mr. Edger Lungu as the President of Zambia.

Opposition parliamentarians last week shunned the official opening of parliament and both Mr. Hakainde Hichilema and Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba has vowed not to accept the election of President Lungu.

But Mr. Musonda feels the practice is not good for the development of the country considering that in every election, there can only be one winner.

He told 5FM RADIO that the conduct of the parliamentarians is questionable especially that the Lawmakers have continued to enjoy privileges despite claiming that President Lungu was not duly elected.

And yesterday President Lungu said that he does not need the upnd to recognize him as president of Zambia after the 11th August general elections.
