The Commission appointed by President Edgar Lungu to examine the causes of political violence before and after the 11TH August general elections has been described as shallow by a Youth organization.
Youth Development Organization Executive Director Partner Siabutuba has also questioned one of the terms of reference to compare the voting pattern in the 2006 and 2016 general elections.
Mr. Siabutuba is doubtful if the Fifteen-member Commission will be impartial to establish the truth and not appease the appointing authority.
He thinks the terms of reference for the Commission should have been expanded to include the conduct of traditional leaders who kept endorsing political Leaders.
The Commission will be chaired by Justice Munalula Lisimba while Mrs. Marvis Kasongo Chisanga is the vice chairperson of the Commission that only has three women.
Mr. Nzovwa Mwela Chomba is the Secretary with Mr. Mike Mulabe being the Deputy-Secretary.
The Commission that must submit its report in four months time includes a 25 year old University of Zambia graduate, Wilfred Chilufya.
