President Edgar Lungu has named a fifteen member Commission of inquiry to examine the causes of political violence before and after the 11th August general elections.

The Commission will be chaired by Justice Munalula Lisimba while Mrs. Marvis Kasongo Chisanga is the vice chairperson of the Commission that only has three women.

Mr. Nzovwa Mwela Chomba is the Secretary with Mr. Mike Mulabe being the Deputy-Secretary.

Transparency international Zambia Chapter president Lee Habasonda, governance activist Rebuen Lifuka and Catholic Priest Father Lastone Lupupa have also being appointed.

The Commission will inquire into the voting pattern of the 2006 and 2016 elections also examine the voting patterns in the 11th 2016 general elections and submit a report in four months time.
