UNITED States Secretary of State John Kerry has commended Out-going Zambian Ambassador to the United States Judge Palan Mulonda for helping in strengthening the relations between Zambia and the United States.
Secretary Kerry thanked Justice Mulonda for his service adding that the Administration of President Barrack Obama was grateful for his role in strengthening the important partnership between the two countries.
The Secretary of State said this in a farewell message to Justice Mulonda who is in the US capital Washington DC to bid farewell following his recall and subsequent appointment to the Constitutional Court.
Meanwhile, Justice Mulonda this morning, bade farewell to the State Department through Chief of Protocol Ambassador Peter Selfridge at the US State Department in Washington DC.
Ambassador Selfridge congratulated Justice Mulonda on his appointment and thanked him for the service and good working relations during his tenure as Zambia’s Ambassador to the U.S. He wished Justice Mulonda well in his new distinguished appointment.
And in response, Justice Mulonda thanks the U.S Administration for the support given to Zambia in various areas including health, education, trade, water and sanitation, judiciary and the Nelson Mandela Young African Leadership Initiative(YALI).
