Doctors at Ndola Teaching Hospital-Arthur Davison Children’s Hospital plan go on a sit-in protest starting On Christmas day to demand salaries from the government.
This Is according To Letter dated 15th December, 2016, Which Was Signed By Ndola Branch Resident Doctors Association President, Dr. Gaisie Kweku And his acting Secretary General Dr. Lukama Justine.
On Tuesday this week doctors at The University Teaching Hospital had resolved to down tools before that plan was reversed following talks.
When contacted for a comment on the pending protest national Resident Doctors Association President Dr Francis Mupeta Expressed Ignorance on the Matter.
The planned sit-in protest is expected to last for fourteen days.
Meanwhile Yesterday Minister in Health Dr Chitalu Chilufya assured the Doctors that their demands will be addressed.
Earlier in the week 5fm Radio learnt that about 187 doctors at the University Teaching Hospital have been working without getting paid for the past six months.
