Motorists across Zambia have been given a two weeks grace period in which to acquire motor road tax for the year 2017.
This is according To Road Transport And Safety Agency Head Of Public Relations Fredrick Mubanga said that the extension will go up to 14 January, 2017.
Mr. Mubanga however added that the extension does not include the certificate of fitness and the test certificates as the two relate to road-worthiness and the safety of the vehicle.
The Agency is providing this grace period to accommodate the licensing needs of all motorists and hopes that the public will utilize the extension to comply with the law.
Meanwhile a Mazhandu Family Bus was involved in a road traffic accident along the Great North Road with 20 people injured.
The accident yesterday at 15miles area as the driver of the Mazhandu Bus attempted to overtake a Toyota Hiace minibus moving in the same direction.
In April this year the Agency had suspended the license for Mazhandu Family Bus before then Minister of Transport Kapambwa Simbao re-Instated the Licence.
