Zambian passengers who survived the road traffic accident involving a Jitotwe Luxury Coach that killed three people in South Africa have complained that the bus was not in a road worthy condition.

The accident happened around midnight on yesterday in Louis Trichardt town, just before Beit-bridge and three Zambians died in that road traffic accident.

The Passengers also said that they bought tickets for inter-cape bus services but were dispatched on the Jitotwe Bus before departure time.

And Zambia’s High Commissioner to South Africa, MR. EMMANUEL MWAMBA has appealed to the Road Transport and Safety Agency to investigate passengers’ complaints raised against Jitotwe Luxury Coach.

Meanwhile Jitotwe Bus Services sent a second bus to dispatch the passengers that were discharged, to Zambia.

According to witnesses say the bus travelling from Johannesburg to Lusaka flipped onto the side as the driver tried to avoid an object ahead of him.

The deceased have been identified as MEMORY KAINGA and her daughter, TAONGA MWALE. ANGEL KUNDA, the conductor on the bus, was also killed in the accident.
