Former Bweengwa United Party for National Development Member of Parliament Mr. HIGHIVE HAMUDUDU has formed a political party called the ‘PARTY FOR NATIONAL UNITY’.

Mr. HAMUDUDU was not adopted by the UPND ahead of the 11th august, 2016 general elections and he at one time refused to work as Deputy Minister of Finance under President EDGAR LUNGU’S administration.

The symbol for the new political party is a ‘HAND SHAKE’ and the party colors are yellow and black with the slogan ‘UNITY FIRST’.

Mr. HAMUDUDU has indicated that the new party will contest the 2012 general elections.


The former lawmaker said that he is the interim president and the party wants to focus on bringing unity in Zambia especially among politicians.
