The Rivalry between Red Arrows and Men at Work Diggers will Renew at the 2017 Mopani Rugby 15s Tournament that is Billed for the Copperbelt Province at Diggers Club this Saturday.

 

Arrows Won the Inaugural 15s Championship in a Tight Contested Encounter Played at Nkana West Rugby Field in Kitwe Last Year seeing the Airmen Carry the Day a 6-0 Score.

 

This Year’s Tournament has attracted 16 Rugby Teams Across Zambia one more than the 2016 Tournament.

 

The Organisers Invited Two Zimbabwean Teams but at the last minute Logistical hitch Prevented the Participation of the Foreign Teams at the Tournament that Promises more than Sparks of Rugby.

However, Three Zimbabwean Referees will take Charge of some the Matches.

 

Sports Fans on the Copperbelt Province will be split for Excitement as others will have to keep an eye the Zambia-Mozambique, Afcon Qualifier at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola on the same Day.

 

Kansanshi Rugby Club from North Western Province will participate for the Second Year running with the hope of doing better than last Year.

 

Teams participating are KPF, Lusaka, Buffaloes, Nkwazi, Eagles, Ndola and Roan.

 

Others are Chibuluma, Mufulira, Nchanga, Konkola and Gymkhana. the Tournament is expected to start at 08:30.
