Mines and Mineral Development Minister Christopher Yaluma has cautioned Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) against transferring 900 and 10 Workers to a Chinese Firm without Engaging the Government.

So far Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) has Transferred 200 Employees; but Mr Yaluma has told the Press that he has Correspondence from KCM that they will stop the process; adding that those Transferred will Return to their Previous Jobs.

Mr. Yaluma fears that this can lead to Unemployment for Mine Workers; hence he explained that, Discussion involving the Government, KCM and Unions will Commence Tomorrow (TUESDAY).
