A Curfew has Commenced in Lusaka’s Kanyama Compound Following the Rise in Cholera Cases.


The Curfew will Run from 18 Hours to 06 Hours the Following Day as Announced by Minister of Health Dr Chitalu Chilufya During a Media Briefing in Lusaka this Afternoon.


Dr Chilufya said the Continued Trading in Undesignated Places by Kanyama Residents and Drinking Water from Shallow Wells is Contributing to the Rise in Cholera Cases.


During the same Media Briefing, Local Government Minister, Vincent Mwale Announced the Closing Down of Chinika Trading Place in Kanyama Constituency.


In the Meantime, Zambia National Farmers Union (ZNFU) President, Mr. Jervis Zimba said they have Agreed with Government to Find Alternative Places Where Farmers will be Selling their Produce on a Temporal Basis.
