The Treasury in January Released 5.2 Billion Kwacha of which 1.6 Billion Kwacha was for Personal Emoluments for Public Service Workers.

 

One Point Eight Billion Kwacha went to Debt Service, and 1 Billion Kwacha was Allocated for Grants while the Remainder of 0.8 Billion Kwacha went to other Key Programmes, including Capital Projects.

 

Minister of Finance, Mr. Felix Mutati says the 1.6 Billion Kwacha Expenditure on Personal Emoluments includes the 2018 Wage Increment Awarded to Public Service Workers in the Month under Review.

 

Mr Mutati said of the 1 Billion Kwacha Grant Amount to Various Institutions, 233.2 Million Kwacha went to the Ministry of Agriculture for the Farmer Input Support Programme; while the Food Reserve Agency Received 172 Million Kwacha as Final Installment for Clearing Arrears Accumulated in the 2016/17 Marketing Season.
