Ministry of Commerce Trade and Industry; Permanent Secretary; Kayula Siame says as the African Continent Embraces Free Trade, there is need to Build Productive Alliances and the Necessary Capabilities for Industry take Advantage of Emerging Opportunities, While Minimizing Negative Impact.

 

Zambia is Today (WEDNESDAY) Signing the Declaratory Message to Launch the Continental Free Trade Area in Rwanda.

 

African Ministers of Trade Met on 8th and 9th March, 2018 in Kigali, Rwanda to Prepare for this Launch Today, During an Extra-Ordinary Assembly of Heads of State and Government Where Minister of Commerce Trade and Industry;  Christopher Yaluma, Led the Zambian Delegation to the Ministerial Meeting.

 

African Heads of Government Agreed to Establish a Continental Free Trade Area in 2012 and Started Negotiations in 2015.

 

Ms. Kayula says there is no Doubt that Implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area will Create Both Opportunities and Challenges.
