Zambia has been Duly Appointed on to the 12 Member Countries Board of Smart Africa Board Chaired by Rwandan President Paul Kagame.

 

This is a Great Opportunity for Zambia to be in the Steering Board Providing Leadership on the use of ICT for Socio-Economic Development as Promoted by the African Union (AU).

 

This comes as a result of the Bilateral Meetings led by President Edgar Lungu and his Rwandan Counterpart Mr Paul Kagame in the First Quarter of 2018.

 

Transport and Communications Minister Brian Mushimba who is Currently Attending the “Transform Africa Summit” in  Kigali, Rwanda Representing President Lungu was at Hand to Witness Zambia being Admitted to the Smart Africa Board.

 

Engineer Mushimba said it was a Great Opportunity for Zambia to be part of the Smart Africa Board as it would help put ICT at the Center of the Country’s National-Economic Development Agenda.
