Indian Miner Vedanta Resources has Appointed South African-Born Deshnee Naidoo to Lead its African Operations.


Ms Naidoo will Oversee the Company’s Copper and Zinc Mines in Zambia, South Africa, Namibia and Tasmania.


The Appointment is the Latest Leadership Change at the London-Listed Metals Group Controlled by Indian Tycoon Anil Agarwal.


Last Month (APRIL) Vedanta Appointed Srinivasan Venkatakrishnan, the Head of Anglo-Gold Ashanti, as Chief Executive.


Ms Naidoo has 20 Years experience in the Mining Industry, and was previously Chief Financial Officer of Anglo American’s Thermal Coal Business in South Africa.


She Joined Vedanta in 2014 and Led the Expansion of its 400 Million Dollars Gamsberg Zinc Project in South Africa, which will come into Production in Mid 2018.


She Replaces Steven Din, who will Leave Vedanta in July.
