THE national action for quality education has called on the ministry of finance to consider increasing budgetary allocation to the ministry of education from the current 16 percent to 20 percent in the 2019 National Budget.

Organization executive director Aaron Chansa notes that the education sector is facing financial challenges thereby making it difficult to stir quality Education.

In an interview with 5fm news Mr. Chansa notes that increasing funding towards Education will enable the ministry to be able to adequately fund and upgrade Community Schools which he said have been given inadequate attention.

He adds that improving fund is crucial towards achieving sustainable development goal number 4 aimed at ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education as well as promotes lifelong learning opportunities for all.
