The ruling Patriotic Front and Opposition United Party for National Development have agreed to De-Militarize their Security Wings in a bid to promote peace and unity among party cadres.
The two political parties have further agreed to allow the councils run the markets and bus stations without any Political interference.
This was agreed after a meeting between the two Political Parties at the PF Secretariat.
And in reading the resolutions to the media, PF Deputy Media Director Antonio Mwanza said the two parties have also agreed to form a steering committee that will look at ending political violence and promote peace and unity between the two parties.
And UPND Youth Deputy Chairperson Munji Habeenzu said party will not tolerate politics of confrontations, but that they will focus on dialogue.
