The Civil Society Organization for Scaling-Up Nutrition Alliance (CSO-SUN) has indicated that the expected low crop yield in 2019 is likely to pose a threat towards the positive gains made in combating malnutrition in the country.

The 2018 Zambia Demographic and Health Survey key indicators report has revealed that stunting has reduced to 35 percent in 2018 from 40 percent recorded in 2014.

Speaking in an interview with 5fm news, CSO-Sun National Coordinator, Mathews Mhuru has stressed the need to scale up interventions by various stakeholders that will ensure food diversity, especially among children.
