Lands and Natural Resources Minister Jean Kapata has disclosed that about 300 thousand title deeds will be issued countrywide this year.
Kapata explains that the certificates of title will be given under the national land titling programme, a government initiative aimed at ensuring that state land is put on the title.
The Minister adds that the national land-titling centres are being decentralized up to districts level in order to bring services closer to the people as well as facilitate speedy issuance of title deeds.
Kapata further indicates that the cost of obtaining a title deed can be negotiated by paying a required minimum fee.
