A FARMER SPEAKS OUT ON THE CHALLENGES OF FISP PROGRAM

In 2015 the government introduced, the electronic voucher system, with the view to eliminate corruption and help farmers achieve crop diversification.

 

Four years down the line, the system has continued to attract concerns from stakeholders in the agriculture sector, with some noting the need for government to revert to the old system.

 

In the following report, our staff Patrick Soko visited Veronica Zulu at Kanakantampa Resettlement Scheme in Chongwe district of Lusaka Province at her farmer in order to understand her perceptive on the e-voucher system in comparison to conventional farmer input support program.
