CASHEW NUTS GROWING BEING ASSESSED

 

The Zambia Bureau of Standards (ZABS) is Conducting a Standardization and Quality Assurance Needs Assessment Programme of the Cashew Value Chain in Ten Districts of Western Province  to Establish the Challenges that the Cashew Sub-Sector.

 

This is According to Bureau Head of Marketing and Public Relations, Mrs. Hazel Zulu, who said that the project started on September 17, 2017 and will conclude on October 5 this Year.

 

The Project is Aimed at Assisting Cashew Growers to Penetrate Local and International Markets.

 

And the Bureau is Confident that the Findings of the Assessment Programme will help to Establish the Challenges that the cashew Value Chain is facing and use the Findings to form the basis for Standardization and Quality Assurance Interventions.
