The Ministry of Health has revealed that efforts to establish 100 more cervical cancer screening centres in some districts dotted around the country have advanced.

 

In an Interview With 5fm News, Ministry Department of Health Promotion, Environment and Social Determinants Assistant Director, Sharon Kapambwe said scaling up interventions aimed at encouraging the women to seek screening services remains critical.

 

Dr.Kapambwe adds that 11 percent of the screened women that showed signs of cervical cancer cell formation have been placed on a programme to come in for routine testing.
