The Foundation for Democratic Process FODEP says the expulsion of Kelvin Bwalya Fube and Julius Komaki from the Ruling Patriotic Front clearly indicates that the party only wants to maintain the existing state of affairs.

The PF  yesterday expelled KBF and Julius Komaki for allegedly causing confusion within the party and asked them to exculpate themselves before the Lusaka Provincial Disciplinary Committee tomorrow.

FODEP Executive Director Mweenge Chimfwembe has since questioned the intra-party democracy in the PF stating that the move does not reflect elements of good governance.

He explains to 5fm in an interview the Importance of political parties embracing diverse views if the country is to champion good leadership to benefit Zambians.

Last month, KBF challenged President Lungu by announcing his interest to stand for the presidency under PF in the 2021 general elections while long-standing member Julius Komaki recently called for the resignation of party secretary-general Davis Mwila accusing him of misleading the party.
