Former Secretary to the Cabinet Lesley Mbula has argued that the re-entry policy aimed at reintegrated pupils that fall pregnant back into school is the reason why most government schools are still recording cases of female pupil’s dropping out.

Mbula who is also Horizon Educational Trust Chairman explains that pupils in most private schools are counselled and made to understand that conceiving whilst at school is not allowed.

He emphasized that policies that are perceived to be hindering the education sector should be revisited.
