34 Officials from the Ministry of Agriculture from all the ten Provinces of Zambia will be trained in Agricultural Mechanization and Irrigation.
This was disclosed by Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Michael katambo, at the opening ceremony for the training course in mechanization supported by the Jiangsu university of china and camco equipment in Lusaka this morning.
Mr. Katambo says government remains committed to partnering with the private sector in improving the livelihoods of farmers.
Speaking at the same function, political councilor from the Chinese embassy, Mr. Lai Bo, has urged the participants to swap experience and make contributions to the agricultural modernization and mechanization agenda.
Meanwhile, CAMCO Chairperson Mr. Li Tie said CAMCO has set aside one million Kwacha in the next three years in the Agriculture-related training program.
