The vision of Hope, an organization that takes care of vulnerable women and girls has acknowledged the need to educate adolescents on human trafficking in view of combating the scourge.
In January 2019, the ministry of home affairs disclosed that cases of human trafficking remained high since 2015 with 31 cases recorded in 2018.
Speaking in an interview with 5fm news, Vision of Hope Founder Chitalu Chishimba says human traffickers usually target vulnerable adolescents in Zambia due to its geographical position.
She has since implored relevant government institutions to ensure that they concentrate on educating adolescents on the dangers of trafficking.
