LACK INFORMATION ON VEHICLE RE-REGISTRATION EXERCISE RAISES CONCERN

BUSES

By Mwenya Mofya

The Bus and Taxi Drivers Association of Zambia has noted with concern that the government has not included them in the consultation process of the Vehicle Re-Registration exercise.

Transport and Communications Minister Brain Mushimba last year announced that government will embark on a Vehicle Re-Registration exercise to find out the number of vehicles in the country as well as stop duplication of number plates by some motorists.

In an interview with 5fm News, Association National Secretary Sydney Mbewe says they lack information on the exercise which is supposed to be disseminated to their members.
