The Securities and Exchange Commission has expressed concern with the continued low uptake of the capital market products among citizens.

Currently, between 30 and 40 thousand people have invested in the capital market representing a minor proportion.

Securities and Exchange Commission Secretary And Director General Diana Sichone has called for concerted efforts in order to enhance the listing and uptake of the capital markets products.

Sichone tells 5fm news that the commission will continue exploring ways of attracting people to invest in capital markets.
