The Zambia Alliance of Women has expressed concern with the low participation of men in issues aimed at promoting sustainable diets and nutrition levels at the household level, in the country.
Speaking in an interview with 5fm news, Zambia Alliance of Women Programs Manager, Ceasar Katebe has noted that a number of men in communities feel women are the only ones who should be spearheading issues to do with nutrition because they are mostly the ones in charge of preparing meals at household.
He however, notes that stunted growth in the country can be addressed if both men and women come on board to champion such as issues.
Katebe has since called for the change of mindset among men so that they can also begin taking a leading role in promoting nutrition issues in the country.
