The National Aids Council-NAC has observed need to develop the national comprehensive condom strategy in order to have adequate information on the prevention of HIV and unwanted pregnancies in the country.
The National Comprehensive Condom Strategy is a document designed to give direction on how condoms will be procured and moved from medical stores to the end users.
The document has not been developed due to lack of resources since it expired in 2014.
In an interview with 5fm news, NAC public-private sector coordinator Ellen Mubanga says the strategy is important as it will facilitate sufficient information to the response of preventing HIV.
