Opposition United Party for National Development Lusaka Provincial Chairperson Obvious Mwaliteta Summerton has reported Patriotic Front Media Director Sunday Chanda to the police for inciting people on the Copperbelt to rise against UPND President Hakainde Hichilema.

 

Mr Mwaliteta this afternoon lodged in a complaint against Mr Chanda at Lusaka Central Police were a statement has been recorded.

 

According to posting circulating on Zambia Watch and facebook titled “Hichilema must be burnt to death on the Copperbelt” Mr Chanda ordered that the UPND leader should be burnt to death while on the Copperbelt.

 

According to a WhatsApp conversation monitored by Zambian Watch, Mr Chanda appealed to all Copperbelt PF youths to mobilise themselves to burn Hichilema on Wednesday.

 

“The Satanist (HH) will be reporting himself on the Copperbelt on Wednesday next week, we need to teach this guy a lesson. I’m appealing to all PF youths to mobilise themselves and deal with him this time around. He is in our stronghold and let us dismantle this guy (HH),” reads WhatsApp message.

 

Meanwhile, Mr Mwaliteta said Mr Chanda has failed to help his President Edgar Lungu to resolve problems affecting the people on the Copperbelt and the rest of the country.

 

“ It is the people of Zambia suffering and struggling to feed their families who need attention from PF and Sunday Chanda and not President Hakainde Hichilema. He has a task to provide checks and balances and as UPND we are so proud to have a President with a vision and love for the people of Zambia,” said Mr Mwaliteta.

 

He said President Hichilema understands every corner of this country and knows the needs of the people that is why he has the vision to build a better life for all.
