The Patents and Companies Registration Agency-PACRA has revealed that the revised companies’ act of 2017 now includes provisions aimed at facilitating preferential treatment for small companies.

It was noted in the previous act that big companies and small scale businesses were both subjected to the same regulatory frameworks thereby making it difficult for SME’s to operate.

PACRA Chief Executive Officer Anthony Bwembya says the provisions are aimed at exempting small companies from some stringent requirements as well as create an enabling business environment.
