A campaigner against Gender-Based Violence has expressed concern that while the cases of Gender Based Violence have continued to be on increase, very few parents are aware that the vice poses severe impact on the physical health and growth and development of their children.

Astrida Maseka who is a trainer of trainers in gender-related matters explains that the mental health and the well-being of a child witnessing abuse can be adverse in the long term.

Dr.Maseka has since reminded parents on the need to stop fighting especially in the presence of their children because such is emotional abuse on them.
