PLANE LAND CRASHES AT KKIA

A Light Aircraft with seven people on board crash landed at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport this morning.

Information gathered by 5FM RADIO suggests that the Pilot of the Kenyan registered plane had difficulties while descending towards the runway thereby landing the plane on its belly.

All the passengers on the plane were rescued by airport staff and there were no reported fatalities.

The incident partially delayed incoming and outgoing airplanes at the International Airport as the runway for closed in order to facilitate procedural cleaning.

When reached for comment Civil Aviation Authority Acting Director General MR. DESMOND JERE told 5fm radio other details will be provided later.

And Transport and Communication Minister BRIAN MUSHIMBA confirmed receiving such information of the happenings at the airport via a whatassp message.
