POLICE TOLD TO MAINTAIN LAW & ORDER IN MANGANGO

Zambia-police-

Inspector general of police, Kakoma Kanganja has implored Police officers deployed in Mangango constituency of Kaoma district to ensure that law and order prevail in the area before, during and after the 20th November Mangango by-election.

 

Addressing Officers in Mangango today, 14th November 2018, Mr Kanganja said lawlessness should be dealt with in accordance with the provisions of the law.

 

He cautioned officers against participating in active politics as their responsibility was to protect all members of the public irrespective of their political affiliation.

 

in a statement to 5fm news by Zambia police public relations officer Esther Katongo the police chief, however, thanked all political parties taking part in the by-election and members of the public for conducting themselves peacefully during the ongoing campaigns.

 

The inspector general is in Mangango Constituency to check on the security situation.
