The Human Rights Commission has urged political parties to desist from electoral corruption bribery and other malpractices during campaigns in the Katuba Parliamentary By-Election slated for 30th July 2019.

Commission Chairperson, Mudford Mwandenga has urged members of the general public to report any cases of corruption and bribery to the anti-corruption commission.

He adds that the human rights commission is also ready to receive such complaints for a referral to the relevant bodies in the electoral process.

The opposition United Party for National Development has settled for a businessman Aubrey Kapalasa while Headman Zacks Mwachilele will contest on the Patriotic Front ticket in a poll that came following the death of then UPND Member of Parliament, Patricia Mwashingwele.
