University of Zambia Political Scientist, Alex Ng’oma, has counselled political parties to ensure that their conflict resolution mechanisms are well-grounded ahead of the 2021 polls.
Speaking to 5Fm News Dr Ng’oma notes that intraparty conflicts are inevitable but what is important is how political parties deal with the challenge.
Dr Ng’oma’s comment comes after the Copper Belt Province Patriotic Front Executive Committee recently lifted the suspension of Kitwe Mayor Christopher Kang’ombe and former District Commissioner Binwell Mpundu.
He notes that the move by the PF is a sign of maturity as the party has allowed reconciliation to take place.
