The Public Policy Institute of Zambia has indicated that the country’s economy can be revived if more resources are channelled towards the agriculture sector especially towards the agro-processing industry.
In an interview with 5fm news PPIZ president, Fabian Chewe says Zambia is already in the agricultural belt with good climatic condition that is conducive for agriculture activities.
He has observed that all what is needed is for the government to continue injecting more resource in order to spur economic growth.
According to PPIZ President if agriculture is well funded it has the potential to reduce the unemployment levels and contribute immensely to the country’s Gross Domestic Product.
