Chief government spokesperson Dora Siliya came under pressure from some unruly students who opted to shout insults at her during the funeral procession of the late university of zambia student vespers Shimuzhila.
Several prominent people and Government officials attended the funeral including united party for national development leader Hakainde Hichilema.
Siliya who is also the Minister of information shortly twitted that she attended the funeral and the situation was calm except for a few drunk students who felt like insulting Government officials serves them well.
She further went on to say that what is needed is dialogue on how to fund higher education adding that using tax payer’s money to support drunkards cannot continue.
Shimuzhila died in a hostel in the school of adult education due to suffocation after police officers allegedly threw teargas canisters in her room.
