Government says the country is not yet ready to pilot the printing of ballot papers locally.

Of late there have been calls from stakeholders on the need for the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) to pilot the printing of ballot papers for the by-elections locally, following government’s revelations that the 2021 ballot papers will be printed within the country.

“We are not yet at a place where we can pilot, but soon after we revamp the road map then we can be able to pilot, ”Kafwaya said.

In an interview with 5fm news Works and Supply Minister Mutotwe kafwaya has however acknowledged that domestic printing of ballots remains a good idea.
