The state house has dispelled reports suggesting that President Edgar Lungu has made reshuffles to his cabinet.
Presidential spokesperson, Amos Chanda, has since warned that authorities will deal harshly with individuals peddling lies regarding the office of the presidency.
Mr Chanda has reiterated that any cabinet reshuffles will be communicated to members of the public using established channels and not through social media statements that do not bear official state house stamps.
The fake cabinet reshuffles show changes made to various ministerial posts and inspector general of police Kakoma Kanganja said to have been dropped and replaced with his Deputy for Operations, Bonny Kapeso.
Speaking when he featured on a special ZNBC TV 1 program this afternoon, Mr Chanda noted that individuals with ill motives want to destabilize the peace and unity of the country through the issuance of statements that have the potential to cause panic in the country.
