Society for Family Health Interpersonal Communications Officer Clara Wakutaipa has called on traditional leaders in the country to sensitize men on the importance of undergoing circumcision.
Wakutaipa observes that despite circumcision reducing the risk of one getting some Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) some men are apprehensive about been circumcised because of their traditional beliefs and practices.
Wakutaipa also notes that others have some general misconceptions about circumcision.
She tells 5fm news that traditional leaders are key in changing the mindset of men in their areas so that they can begin to appreciate the benefits of being circumcised.
