Everet Chongo, the student that was evacuated to South Africa for specialist medical treatment is making remarkable improvement.
Zambia’s High Commissioner to South Africa Emmanuel Mwamba, who visited her, disclosed the details.
He said that Everet was making tremendous improvement after surgeries to her spine and legs.
Mr. Mwamba said he found Everet in high spirits when he visited her.
And Everet’s parents have expressed gratitude to government for affording their daughter specialist medical treatment.
Mrs. Geoffrey and Vivien Chongo said they were sincerely grateful to government’s gesture to evacuate their daughter and were hopeful that Everet would make a full recovery soon.
The couple told the to extend their gratitude to especially President Edgar Lungu and the Minister of Health, Dr. Chitalu Chilufya.
