A Women Organization has observed that lack of knowledge on the Anti-Gender-Based Violence Act of 2010 And Other Gender-Related Laws among women is a drawback to the fight against Gender-Based Violence in the country.

Women and Law in Southern Africa, Women in Leadership Assistant Project Officer, Matrin Hazyondo says because of being ignorant, a number of women do not know what course of action to take when they are victimized.

Hazyondo tells 5FM NEWS that this has contributed to the recurrence of Gender-Based Violence related cases in the country.

She has since implored the media to help sensitize women on Gender laws in the country.
