Zambia has been elected to serve As Africa Anti- Corruption Authorities Association Vice- President.
Anti- Corruption Commission- acting director- general Mr. KAPETWA PHIRI was voted to serve in the Executive, as 1st vice-president during the recently held annual general conference from 25th to 28th April, 2017 in Congo Brazzaville.
Among the notable resolutions during the Conference was the completion and ratification of the association’s constitution by the executive committee.
The executive committee is in charge of, among other matters implementing the association’s strategic plan and all measures that necessitate the smooth operations of the association.
The association was established to provide a platform for African countries to tackle the cancer of corruption, promote good governance across the continent and foster international cooperation in combating corruption and related offences.
The Conference dubbed ‘exploring new trends in the fight against corruption’ is the second to be held by the anti- corruption association since its inception in 2011.
