The Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority-ZICTA- has indicated that any person who is using communication for unlawful purposes or conduct which is infringing on the rights of others risk not having mobile communication on all networks in the country.

Speaking in an interview, ZICTA Consumer Protection and Compliance Manager, Edgar Mulauzi says most of the private conversations in the country are being circulated because a person actually decided to record without the consent of another party.

He notes that every citizen has the right to privacy which is enshrined in the constitution.

The ZICTA Consumer Protection and Compliance Manager advised individuals who feel victimized, to seek protection from relevant authorities.
