ZITUKULE WANTS CHOLERA TRANSPARENCY

Government Officials Spearheading the Fight Against Cholera have been Reminded to be more Transparent and Accountable in the use of Resources.

Zitukule Consortium; Executive Director; Nicolas Phiri finds the One Hundred Million Kwacha Expenditure on the Fight Against Cholera as reported to the Nation by Local government Minister Vincent Mwale to be Highly Unsatisfactory.

He says he is Aware that some of the Health Staff Involved in Fighting the Epidemic have not been Paid To-Date including the Men in Uniform.

He adds that this is despite the Overwhelmingly Positive Financial Support Response from the Business and Donor Community to this Scourge.

In the Meantime; During a Media Briefing Yesterday (TUESDAY) Minister of Health; Dr Chitalu Chilufya has Assured Accountability in the Administration of Resources adding a Report will be Compiled.
